ZenBusiness, an Austin, TX-based online platform to create and run small businesses, closed a $15m Series A venture capital financing. The round was led by Greycroft, with participation from Lerer Hippeau, and Revolution’s Rise of the Rest Seed Fund and new investors Rosecliff Venture Partners, Interlock Partners, and Recruit Strategic Partners (RSP). DeadHappy, a U.K.-based insurtech startup that wants to offer more flexible life insurance and remove the taboo surrounding death, has raised £4 million in Series A funding. Backing comes from e.ventures, alongside the company’s seed investor Octopus Ventures. More

Everledger, a London-based startup developing and maintaining an immutable ledger for asset ownership, today announced that it has secured $20 million in a series A round led by Tencent, with participation from Graphene Ventures, Bloomberg Beta, Rakuten, Fidelity, and Vickers Venture Partners. More

In an S-1 filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission Friday, Cambridge, Massachusetts-based Beam Therapeutics announced its planned $100 million initial public offering on the Nasdaq Global Market, where it would trade under the symbol BEAM. JP Morgan, Jefferies and Barclays are joint bookrunners on the IPO, while Wedbush PacGrow is lead manager. More

Last week, Progyny, which provides fertility benefits to employees filed its intention to go public with the Securities & Exchange Commission. The New York company, founded in 2016, has created a fertility benefits program that includes access to pharmacy for treatments that may be required as well as a fertility expert it bills as a Patient Care Advocate.
